Ms. Allen brings over a decade of experience working in life skills classrooms and separate public day school settings. Roles have included Special Education Teacher, Extended School Year Teacher, Compensatory Services Teacher, Behavior Intervention Team, and Interim Team Lead. She has volunteered for leadership positions focused on family engagement, staff collaboration, and student support. This experience allows her to understand complex student needs, multidisciplinary teamwork, and the realities families face within intensive educational settings.

Ms. Allen provides expert guidance through the often complex and overwhelming landscape of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and special education law, helping families secure the services their children need. Navigating legal requirements, timelines, and procedural safeguards can be challenging, particularly when families are unfamiliar with their rights or the school system’s obligations. Services include IEP review, meeting preparation, and advocacy to ensure educational plans are individualized, legally sound, and responsive to each child’s unique needs.
