Comprehensive Support for Students and Families

Our work is rooted in a deep belief that every individual deserves to be understood, supported, and given meaningful opportunities to grow—at home, in school, and within their community.

We provide behavior analytic services and special education advocacy to support the growth and development of individuals with autism and other neurodivergent learners.

Our mission is twofold: to deliver ethical, evidence-based behavior analytic therapy in the home, school, and community settings. We are here to help families successfully navigate the public school system so their child’s needs are met within the framework of special education law. At the heart of everything we do is collaboration—ensuring families are informed, empowered, and active participants in their child’s journey.

Based in Bozeman, Montana, services are provided to individuals with autism and their families throughout the local community and surrounding areas. Support focuses on children and students who benefit from behavior analytic services and special education advocacy, particularly those navigating complex educational and developmental needs. With an understanding of both rural and community-based systems, services are tailored to meet families where they are and support meaningful outcomes across home, school, and community settings.

This mission is also personal.

Meet Betsy Allen

As a child, our founder struggled in elementary school without the benefit of understanding or appropriate supports. Growing up as a neurodivergent student with ADHD and learning disabilities, there were few systems in place to recognize or support those differences. It was not until freshman year of college that a formal diagnosis was made and meaningful supports finally became available—revealing just how transformative the right support can be.

One defining moment came in high school, when a guidance counselor stated that Johns Hopkins was “not an option for a student like you.” Rather than discouragement, that moment became motivation. In 2016, that goal came full circle with the completion of a Master of Science in Special Education from Johns Hopkins University, with a concentration in severe to profound disabilities.

Education and professional development have been central to a career dedicated to supporting individuals who do not fit within traditional norms. A Master of Science in Special Education with a concentration in severe to profound disabilities was earned from Johns Hopkins University, followed by post-master’s training in School Administration from Towson University and a post-master’s certificate in Behavior Analysis from The Chicago School. Ongoing doctoral studies as a third-year Ph.D. student at The Chicago School, with a concentration in Organizational Behavior Management, reflect a continued commitment to advancing ethical, effective systems of support. This foundation is complemented by Board Certification as a Behavior Analyst and prior certification as a special educator in both Maryland and Montana.

Our Journey

Get Ready for Rising Phoenix Behavior Center

That journey—from unsupported student to professional special educator, BCBA, and special education advocate—shapes our work every day. It is why we are deeply committed to ethical practice, evidence-based decision-making, and honoring the dignity and potential of every individual we serve. It is also why we focus on strengthening families as successful units, helping them build skills and confidence not only within the home, but throughout their broader community.

We know firsthand how complex systems can fail families—and how powerful it is when those systems finally work. Our goal is to be a trusted partner, helping families access the support their children deserve and ensuring that no child is overlooked or underestimated.
